She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Akridge and Jean Williams Akridge; her sister Elizabeth Akridge; and her niece Susan Brown. She is survived by: her husband Joe Fumei, Sr.; her children, Joe Fumei, Jr. and Gina M. Weinmann; her grandchildren, Lauren Boykin and Andrew Weinmann of Joe Fumei, III.; her great grandchild Nicolas Boykin; her sister Marion Tyus; her nephew Kenny Tyus; and her great-niece Leah Brown.

A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church (5373 Wydella Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047). A burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Honey Creek Woodlands Cemetery (2625 GA-212, Conyers, GA 30094).
