He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Brogdon Bennett; his brother Roscoe Bennett; and his grandson Eric Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Hazel Bennett of Stockton, GA; his children, Randy Anderson (Deborah) of Valdosta, Kenny Wayne Bennett (Kerri) of Thomasville, GA, Tammy Bennett of Stockton, GA and Melissa Smith (William) of Stockton, GA; his brothers, Ronnie Bennett (Linda) and Murrell Bennett (Rhonda) of Clyattville, GA; his sister-in-law Pat Bennett of Stockton, GA; and his grandchildren, Ethan McRae, Sage Fender, Stanton Fender, Michaela Anderson, Macy Anderson, Madison Corbett, Randy Anderson, Joey Anderson, Brianna Bennett, Haley Bennett and Junior Bennett. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
