He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Bennett and Mary Magdlane Lightsey Bennett; and his siblings, Pearl Dozier, Bobby, Johnny, Billy, Leon and Lawton Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila McKay Bennett of Stockton; his stepchildren, Daisy Jones of Savannah and Bobby Jones of Ripley, TN; and his siblings, Rose McCullers of Nashville, Lennie Morgan of Stockton and Jimmy Bennett of Stockton.
