He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack P. Thornton and Evelyn Carruth Thornton; and his brother Harry Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Martha Thornton; his son Tommy Thornton (Dina); his grandchildren, Reannon Cool (Trey) and Kayla Mays (Andy); and his great grandchildren, Hunter Cool, Christi Cool, Scarlett Cool, Bren Cool, Rayna Mays and Wyatt Mays. He is also survived by several other family members and friends.
