He was predeceased by: his parents, Essie Chambers and Roy L. Chambers; his wife Mary Louise Chambers; his daughter Sharon Roddy; and his brother Alonzo "Buck" Paul Chambers.

He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Roddy, Kathy Dixon (Billy), Deborah Bruce (Darrell), Melody McKenzie (William B.) and Gale Knox (Edward); and his siblings, Jenny Chambers, Rebecca Huie (Bob), Nancy Carol Neisert, James Earl Chambers (Esther) and Sandra McBerry (Tom). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; over two dozen great- and great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your favorite charity.
