He was predeceased by: his father Phi Burney Brunson Jr.; his children, Joshua Ray Brunson and Madison Aubree Brunson; and his brother Clay Brunson. He is survived by: his mother Nilmarg Jean Brunson (Floyd); his stepfather Jackie Sligh; his wife Shannon Brunson; his sisters, Angela Floyd and Kimberly Brunson; his children, Michael Brunson Jr. (Laura), Christine Brunson, Andrew Brunson (Margaret), Amberleigh Bryant (Tony), Jacob Brunson (Kadie), Hunter Brunson and Dakota Brunson; his grandchildren, Kursten, Skyler, Ashley, Taylor, Jason Jr., Dawson, Aiden, Karson, Kylee, Emma, Finley, Logan, Ryker, Reese, Austin and Silas; and his great grandchildren, Cade, Obadiah and Delilah.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery (9750 AL-9, Centre, AL 35960).
