He was predeceased by: his parents, James Morris Bowles and Eunice Boyd Bowles; and his siblings, Morris Boyd Bowles, Joseph Bartley Bowles and Mary Ellen Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Gwendolyn Bowles; his children, Brian Bowles (Kelly), Kimberly McClung (Kyle), Tara Samples (Matt), Shane Collins (Kimberly), Jennifer Richards (Mark) and Scott Bowles (Kaitlyn); and his brothers, James Allen Bowles (Bobbie) and Warren Truman Bowles. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren.
