Ernestine Breedlove Evans Obituary
Ernestine Evans, 87, long time resident of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away on December 16 after a year of declining health. She was born on December 29, 1933 to Max Ernest Breedlove and Leila Smith Breedlove in Porterdale, Georgia. She attended Porterdale High School and graduated from North Augusta High School in 1952.
She was beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She loved her church and community and served in many community service roles throughout the years. She was an active member of the Stockbridge First Baptist Church where she loved her years of singing in the choir and serving her church family. She was very active, with many hobbies throughout the years. She loved traveling, working in her flower gardens and sewing. She was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed making and sharing with those she loved. She enjoyed teaching her children and grandchildren, even great grandchildren to sew as well.
She had quite a reception in heaven this week. She was preceded in death by parents Max and Leila Breedlove, Siblings- Helen, Eudora, Carol, Maxine and Dot, Grandson Duke and great-grandson Cody and spouse J.S. Evans and George Seabolt.
She is survived by her brother, Tony Breedlove (Linda), Daughters, Dolores Chastain (Jerry) and Faith Young, stepsons, J.P. Evans (Peggy) and John Evans (Julie). Grandchildren Tony Coody, Natalie Minor (Chris), Dallas Beam (Shannon), Melody Howington (Micheal) and T.J. Beam (Bobbie) and numerous other step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends and guests on Monday evening, December 20, from 6:00 -8:00 pm. The funeral will be held on December 21st at 11:00 am at Cannon and Cleveland with interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
