It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles D. Dunaway of Stockbridge, Georgia, who passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Demester E. Dunaway and Willie Mae Dunaway. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Dunaway; his sisters, Joan Murphy (Tom) and Jan Dunaway; his nephews, Michael Thomas Murphy and Jeffrey Glen Murphy; his niece Alexis Lynn Powers; his mother-in-law Charlotte H. Hood; and his sister-in-law Nancy A. Hood.

To honor the special relationship seen throughout his entire life that Charles had with children and those with special needs, the family is requesting in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Thornwell Home for Children: Attn: Tiffany Massey 302 South Broad Street Clinton, SC 29325-9972.
