She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Marion and Lillian Jane Pinnell (Shutley); and her husband James Samuel Smith. She is survived by: her sister Marion Louise Dawson (Pinnell); her children, James T. Smith (Marria) of McDonough, Marion E. Smith (Vicki) of Peachtree City and Janet R. Smith of Snellville; her grandchildren, Erin Skardasis, Evan Smith, Lauren Smith, Paul Fuller, Erin Harsey and Zachary Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Marria Fuller Dunlap, Stella, George Skardasis, Carter, Emma Smith, Phoebe Stevenson and Kiley Johnson. She is also survived by five great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Women's Ministry Fund at Salem Baptist Church.
