She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Noah Simpson and Lillie Mae Roberts Simpson; her husband Doyle William Thompson; her son Bill Thompson; and her siblings, J. D. Simpson, Eula Mae Shirley, Lucille Simpson and Margie Bell.

She is survived by: her children, Betty Burnette of Toccoa, Roy (Betty Thompson) of Eastanollee, Doug (Sherri Thompson) of Eastanollee and Ricky Thompson of Eastanollee. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
