It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edmund Smith (Stephens, Georgia), who passed away on August 4, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus D. Smith and Emma Taylor Smith; and his siblings, Ida Mae Shirley, Minnie Thacker, Jason Smith, Carlie Smith and Edern Smith.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Simpson Smith; his daughter Barbara; his son-in-law Walter Jester of Toccoa; his sons, Dwain, Lynn Smith of Toccoa, Carl and Connie Smith of Snellville, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Justin Smith, Logan Smith, Alexandra Jester and Katlynn Jester. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
