He is survived by: his sisters, Ordway Gaither (Tom) and Grace Carter; his wife Jackie Ann Simmons; his sons, Chris (Monique) and Eric (Michelle); and his stepchildren, Paul Davidson (Grace), Jennifer Meachum (Greg) and Jessica Tatum (Paul).
