With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Owen of Statham, Georgia, who passed away on June 17, 2020 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Owen to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoke Smith and Mary Harvil Hammond. She is survived by: her husband Charles Hampton Owen Sr. of Statham; her children, Mary "Cissy" Greeson of Winder, Charles "Chuck" Owen Jr. of Athens and Scott Owen of Winder; and her sister Marilyn Hammond McKendrick of Suwanee. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
