With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Rodney Akins of Statham, Georgia, who passed away on March 27, 2022 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur James and Emma Nell Kellum Akins. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Willoughby Akins of Statham; his daughter Brittany Cartmill (Spencer) of Statham; and his brothers, Jeff Akins of Thailand and Marty Akins of Statham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in Rod's name to University Cancer and Blood Center, Athens, GA.
