She was predeceased by: her husband Wiley Eugene Higginbotham; and her brother Doug Couch. She is survived by: her children, Laurie and Scott; her siblings, Fran Couch, JerriLynn Couch and Darrell Couch; and also, Athens and Richard Couch.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Georgia Chapter of the Huntington's Disease Society of America at P. O. Box 3651, Eatonton, GA 31024.
