She was predeceased by: her parents, John Nicholson and Alice Parker Nicholson; her husband William Nix Sr.; and her siblings, Ronald Nicholson, Alva Nicholson, Hendrix Nicholson, Virginia Dallas, Jeanette Conner, Barbara Myers, Lou Alice Mills, Jewell Buffington and Elizabeth Coffer.

She is survived by: her children, William "Bill" Nix Jr. (Cindy) of Gainesville, Brenda Cronan (Alvin) of Covington and Gail Parker (Mike) of Monroe. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
