He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jean Woods Mallard; his granddaughter Sara Elizabeth Girardeau; his parents, George Washington Mallard and Wilma Akins Mallard; and his siblings, Charles Riley Mallard and Wilma Sue Mallard Schryver.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Mallard Girardeau and Jennifer Mallard Stephens (Greg Stephens); his grandchildren, Steven Girardeau, Logan Stephens, Caitlyn Girardeau and Landon Stephens (Emily King Stephens); and his brother Carl Mallard of Utah. He is also survived by his daughters, grandchildren, and his 4 legged grandbabies.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home (502 Miller St Ext, Statesboro, GA 30458). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Regency SouthernCare Hospice, 7 Allen Cail Drive Suite A, Statesboro, or Bulloch County Animal Services, 81 Mill Creek Road.
