He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Colson; his siblings, Dorsey Colson, J. B. Colson and Louise Gray; and his parents-in-law, Rufus Marsh, Sr. and Daisy Mallard Marsh.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Colson of Statesboro; and his brother-in-law J. C. Marsh, Jr. (Glenda) of Statesboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
