It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sue Ann Whaley Brannon of Statesboro, Georgia, who passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Whaley and Sally May Colley Whaley; her husband Joe Bill Brannon; her siblings, George Whaley, Katherine Whaley Bird, Hilda Whaley Wilson, Eleanor Whaley Still and Frank Earl Whaley; her stepdaughter Diane Beasley; and her former spouse Ford Bailey.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Bailey-Lower (Alan) of New Zealand and Charles Andrew Bailey (Steven) of Atlanta; her stepchildren, Joe Bill Brannon, Jr. (Lisa) and Jodi Brannon (Murphy); her son-in-law Ray Beasley; her grandchildren, Nicole Beasley, Brandon Beasley, Sam Hand, Chelsea Ray Williams, Daniel Lower, Anna Lower, Justin Brannon and David Helmer; her great grandchildren, Justin Newsome, Madison Newsome and Blakely Hodges; her grandchild Hunter Beasley; and her brothers, Don Whaley (Janice) of Statesboro and Johnny Whaley (Brenda) of Statesboro.
