He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell R. Wimberly and Jane Barnhill Wimberly; and his daughter Kelly Anne Wimberly. He is survived by: his wife Kay Carter Wimberly; his grandsons, Lawson Carter Rushing and William Reid Rushing; his siblings, George F. Wimberly and Kay Turner; and his nephews, Paul Turner and Brad Turner. He is also survived by friends and many of his daughter, Kelly's friends.
