She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Akins; her parents, Floyd Skinner and Ruby Skinner; and her siblings, Peggy Sheley, Charles Skinner and Levon Skinner.
She is survived by: her daughter Pam; her son-in-law Wyman Harley of Statesboro; her son Stanley; her daughter-in-law Kathy Akins of Statesboro; her sister Donna Faye; and her siblings-in-law, Daniel Deal of Statesboro and Joann A. Smith of Portal. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
