It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Royce Mathis (Statesboro, Georgia), born in Dublin, Georgia, who passed away on March 10, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie B. Mathis and Ethel Stevens Mathis; his former wife Caroldene; and his sister Juliaette Shepard. He is survived by: his wife Jane Oliver; his children, Clay Mathis (Lorraine), Stacey Mathis (Jerri) and Richard Mathis (Robyn); and his brother-in-law Sylvester Shepard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
