He was predeceased by: his father Cecil V. Cooper, Sr.; and his siblings, Edwina Cooper Markert Reeves, Roger Cooper and C. V. Cooper, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jacquelyn T. Cooper; his sons, Don Cooper of Statesboro, Tony Cooper (Debbie) of Statesboro and Tim Cooper (Tonya) of Statesboro; his grandchildren, Jason Cooper, Cody Cooper of Pembroke, Justin Cooper (Kellie) of Savannah, Amy Akins (Philip) of Swainsboro, Caitlin Cooper, Aidan Cooper of Statesboro and Bella Lewis of Guyton; and his sons, Hunter Cooper, Waylon Cooper and Tucker Cooper.
The family asks that any memorial contributions be made to Pittman Park United Methodist Church, 1102 Fair Road, Statesboro, GA 30458.
