It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Gibson Hammond Jr. of Statesboro, Georgia, born in Elberton, Georgia, who passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Fulmer Hammond; his parents, Raymond Gibson Hammond Sr. and Katherine Parks Hammond; and his sister Patricia Hammond Powell of Lincolnton, GA.. He is survived by: his daughters, Rachelle Hammond Rivers (Mark) of Stapleton, GA and Beth Hammond Mullins (Mike); his grandchildren, James Fraley, Katherine Fraley Brown (Daniel) and Marcie Rivers Sheffield (Charles) of Davie, FL.; his great grandchildren, Grayson Brown, Warren Brown and Owen Brown; and his brothers-in-law, Cal Fulmer (Jane) of Germantown, TN and Gene Powell of Lincolnton, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Mr. Ray Hammond.
