He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Dill Hendrix; his parents, Oscar "Shug" Hendrix Sr. and Rushua Wilson Hendrix; and his brothers, Ira, Pete and Wilmer Hendrix.
He is survived by: his sisters, Virginia Young, Cora Lee Godbee and Maggie Blackburn; his sons, Michael (Cynthia) of Wilmington Island and Dean of Statesboro; his granddaughter Brittany Jackson (Mathew) of Flowery Branch, GA; and his great grandchild Sutton Rose Jackson.
