He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kirkland and Lillie Mae Williams Kirkland; and his son Terry Eason. He is survived by: his wife Joann Lanier Kirkland of Statesboro, GA; his children, Robert M Kirkland of Houston Texas, Trina Kirkland (Orlando Fl), Gemini Kirkland of Boston Mass, Phyllis Natasha Kirkland (Orlando) and Elizabeth Calhoun; and his stepchildren, Andrea Nicole Lanier, Georgia, Tracie Gamble of Boston, Mass and Pervis Lambert Lanier of Statesboro, GA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his memory.
