She was predeceased by: her mother Patsy Joyner. She is survived by: her father Henry Cecil Chester (H. C.); her daughter Marissa Whitehead; her stepmother H. C.; her brother Monty; her sister-in-law Nancy Chester; her sister Grace; her brother-in-law Shawn Clifton; her grandchildren, Hannah and Hunner Tolbert; and her nephews, Seth and Alex Chester. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
