It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Patrick Bowen Jr. (Statesboro, Georgia), who passed away on March 23, 2022, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Patrick Bowen Sr. and Nancy Ann Griffith Bowen; his children, Margaret Bowen (Corey Smith), Patrick Bowen (Dorothy Freeman), Tamara Coleman (Will Belcher), Jayla Coleman and Tammy Bowen; his sisters, Lora Akins (Brian) and Lisa Bowen (Roberta Job); his grandchildren, Zoey Bragg, Hendlee Ann Williams, Spencer Smith, Dalen Smith, Ally Freeman-Bowen and Piper Belcher; and his friend Sandy Mallard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 4700 Poplar Springs Church Rd, Portal, GA 30450.
