He was predeceased by: his brothers, Alec and Bill; and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Gus, Ruby Groover, Charles Groover and Bonnie Cone Groover.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Groover Covington; his daughters, Dawn Hall (Bobby) and Sharon Conner (Mark); his granddaughters, Sarah Conner and Sidney Hall; his siblings-in-law, John Groover and Peggy Groover Cook; and his caregiver Effie Smith. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
