He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Sapp; his parents, Alfred Sapp and Loree Sapp; and his brothers, Robby Sapp and Carl Sapp.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Kennedy (Tony) of Glennville; his grandsons, Trent Kennedy and Trey Kennedy; and his sisters, Ellene Sanderlin (Bobby) of Gray and Loretta Waters of Claxton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
