She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Riggs, Sr. and Lucille Blandshaw Riggs. She is survived by: her children, April Kendall Alston, Todd Channing Alston (Grace) and Valencia Lynn Collier; her grandchildren, William Riggs Sabb, Spencer Cole Alston, Morgan Simone Alston, Ariel Lucille Alston and Kennedy Gwen Alston; her brothers, Norman Riggs (Debra) and John Julius Riggs; and her nieces and nephews, Marcia Lynn, Alexsa, Norma, Kellie, Sarena, Shanika, LaToya, Kamesha, Courtney, Stanley (Vera), Romeo, Mark (Dewi), Eric (Edith), Heru (Julia), Norman, Jr., Alvin, Jimmy, Michael (Tasha), Stevie, Jr., Hassan (Ashley) and Marcus. She is also survived by other great nieces and nephews cousins and friends.

The family ask in lieu of flowers that you donate to your favorite charity in her name.
