He was predeceased by: his mother Letha Mae Rich (Buster Lovett); his wife Wilhelmina Neely Grant; and his siblings, Robin Rich, Lee Moore Rich, Valarie Rich Dixon and Theodore Rich.
He is survived by: his sons, Anthony Grant of Bronx, NY and Barry Grant (Veronica) of Blythewood, SC; and his siblings, John Wilford Bennett of Statesboro, GA, Dennis Bennett (Angel) of Statesboro, GA, Mary Lee Bush (Anthony) of Hephzibah, GA, Roy L. Rich (Helen) of Evans, GA and Brenda Golden (Alfred) of Midway, GA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
