She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry "Sherney" Lemon and Minnie Lee McNair Lemon; her son Henry Lamar Alston; and her siblings, Remer, Vernon, James Lemon, Rosa Lee Davis and Eloise Lemon.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Bryant (Carver) of Burtonsville, MD, Frances Bell-Herington (Frank) of Statesboro, GA, Vera Matzkanin of Flagstaff, AZ, Debra Bacon (Charles) of Register, GA, Phyllis Lemon-Bell (Joseph) of Statesboro, GA and Gregory Wallace (Chiquita); her sister Dorothy Gordon of Statesboro, GA; her close friend Bobby Jones; and her friend Alzena McGrady. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren.
