He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Milton Sheffield and Harry Sheffield; and his siblings, Annette Huggins and Craig Sheffield. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jones Sheffield of Statesboro; his children, Shane (Jenny Sheffield), Donnie Sheffield, Jr., Taya Sheffield of Pelion, SC, Michelle (Harold Guidry) of Portal and Tonya (Jim Gnatt) of Portal; and his sister Patsy Niese of Statesboro. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
