He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Eugene Talmadge Smith and Peggy Girardeau Smith; and his brother Bobby E. "Sonny" Smith. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Waters Smith; his children, Marshall Dylan Smith and Dallas; his son-in-law Dillon Jacobs; his siblings, Kenneth Smith, Terry Jane Harn and Genia Ward; and his siblings-in-law, Gale Thompson, Glenn Waters, Skipper Waters and Mike Waters.
