He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Thompson and Cammie Thompson; and his siblings, Charles (Geneva Thompson) and Mary Motes. He is survived by: his wife Gail Woodcock Thompson; his children, Matt Thompson, Gary Thompson (Theresa), Galen Thompson, Michael Thompson, Kevin Thompson (Amber) and Crystal Harrison (Jimmy); and his siblings, James Thompson (Joyce) and Gerline Finch. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory (502 Miller St Ext, Statesboro, GA 30458). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
