He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernard Ernest "Banie" and Evelyn "Bunny" Averill Bane; his daughter Cathryn Clark Bane; his wife Margret Wilkie Bane; and his brother Vincent "Mike" Bane.
He is survived by: his former wife Cathryn Clark; his daughters, Alice Conn (Michael) of Kansas City, Peggy Widgren of Newton and Liesl Rowe (Darrell) of Brooklet, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Frank Conn (Kelly) of Eugene Conn, Lily Widgren, Billy Widgren, Christina Martin (Charlie), Josh Rowe and Tiffany Bingham (Nick). He is also survived by six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
