It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Crook Samples of Statesboro, Georgia, who passed away on September 20, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert L. Crook and Maude Ivey Crook; her husband Lawton E. Samples; her siblings, Hugh L. Crook, Weyman Crook, Max Crook, Mildred Williamson of Carrollton, Kate Lee of Carrollton and Helen Crook of Carrollton; and her sons-in-law, John Williams and Tim Marks.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Samples Williams of Bishop, Jo Samples Marks of Statesboro, Mark Samples of Statesboro and Paul Samples (Sandy) of Murrayville, Georgia.; and her grandchildren, Taylor Williams (Lori), Garrett Williams (Megan), Katie Marks Vines (Jonathan), Smith Marks (Kristen), Anna Samples Palmer (Jon), Andrew Samples (Taylor), Rachel Samples Sandifer (Tyler), Ivey Samples Peters (Austin), Tanner Samples (Hannah) and Grayton Samples.
