She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie M. Johnson and Jobey Love; and her sisters, Sara Frances Best and Virginia Lundy. She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Butler of Statesboro, GA; her grandchildren, Joudon Butler and Jaleesa Butler; her great grandchildren, Jhase, Jahari, Jr., Blake, Asher, Maliyah and Kingston; her niece Nana Raymond; her siblings, Mary Piton of Fort Pierce, FL, Glenda Silas (Cedric Sr.) of Tacoma, WA, Jack Parks of Statesboro, GA and Herman Raymond of Statesboro, GA; and her friends, Antionette Farrell and Bernice Cooper.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Craig R. Tremble Funeral Homes, Inc., Statesboro Chapel (238 W Main St, Statesboro, GA 30458). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Original First African Baptist Church (545 Westside Rd, Statesboro, GA 30458).
