He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Hodges McGowan; his parents, Andrew J. McGowan, Sr. and Viola Cordry McGowan; his sister Sue Brewer; and his daughter Belinda Tuttle.

He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Simmons (Chris) of Statesboro, Amanda McGowan of Atlanta, Melissa Cote (Joe) of Richmond Hill and Regenia Kozlowski of South Carolina; and his sister Gail Helton of Statesboro.

He was my first patient ever in dental school as a dental student, and he will leave an everlasting impression on me and some of my classmates who were fortunate enough to meet him.
