He is survived by: his wife Mary Lancaster Forrest; his children, Rhonda Marie Forrest and Robert "Bobby" Reece Forrest, Jr. (Tina); his grandchildren, William Reece Forrest, Luke Shane Forrest and Laura Jean Forrest; and his sister Jan Kocher (Ken). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
