He was predeceased by: his son Robert Joseph Pittman Jr.; his granddaughters, Kimberly Ann and Mary Ellen Pittman; and his brother Harry Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Carolyn Pittman; his grandson David Pittman (Amanda Pittman); his great grandchildren, Abigail Pittman, Johnnie Wright and Aidan Wright; and his sisters, Kathy Digiovanni (David) and Janie Lickens.
