With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Sue Knight Fortson of Springfield, Georgia, who passed away on July 24, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josie Lee Box Zittrouer and James Elonzo Knight; her daughter Beverly Ann Myers; her son-in-law John Myers; and her granddaughter Rhonda Herndon Myers.
She is survived by: her husband Ernest Pelham Fortson; her children, James Edward Hiott (Jenny), Samuel Lee Hiott (Stacie), Joseph Daniel Hiott and Linda; her grandchildren, John Myers (Lauren), Joshua Myers (Blake), Alicia Myers Tripp (Logan), Beverly Hiott (Brandon), Kimberly Hiott, Kaleigh Schupp, Jamie "Amie" Hiott, Kelsey Hiott, Carol Ann Hiott, Emily Hiott (Brian), Joseph Daniel Hiott, II, James Cory Hiott and Rebecca Hiott; her brother Jimmy Zittrouer (Jane); and her sisters-in-law, Sue Ann, Linda Gail and Wanda Jean.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to God's Mission House, c/o First Baptist Church of Springfield, 1435 Hwy. 119 N., Springfield, GA 31329, as a tribute to Linda's enduring commitment to helping others.
