He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Groover and Dorothy Groover. He is survived by: his wife Patrica Zipperer Groover; his sisters, Lynn Weitman (Preston) and Nell Wright; his nieces and nephews, Becky Fields, Wesley Weitman (Amy), Wendy Humphreys (Daniel), Abby Smith and Walter George Wright (Lindsey); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hannah Weitman, Katelyn Smith (Alec), Holden Fields, Chase Weitman, John Humphreys, Ansley Wright, Hayden Fields, Tucker Smith, Brysen Wright, Cayden Wright and Dawsen Wright; his caregiver Joann Goldwire; and also Charlotte Smith.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the Laurel Hill Lutheran Church (530 Laurel Hill Rd, Clyo, GA 31303). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
