He was predeceased by: his parents, Chancy Exley and Myrtie Wilson Exley; and his nephew Trey Sheley. He is survived by: his wife Joan P. Exley; his sisters, Alice Sheley (John) and Louise Riner (Stan); his stepchildren, Victoria Armstrong (Todd) and George Vachon; his grandchildren, Brittany Bevill, Hailey Chavis (Ethan), Ty Armstrong, Seth Vachon, Nathan Vachon and Joe Vachon; his nephew Chan Sheley (Ginger); and his nieces, Gwinea Burns (Steve) and Kimberly Rahn.
