With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cleriece York of Springfield, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Morris Woodard and Virginia Pauline Sherman Woodard; her husband Homer Daniel York; and her brother John. She is survived by: her children, Dan York, Wendy Cowart (Richard) and Jo Crosby (John); her sister Jean Owen of Texas; her grandchildren, Tyler Cowart (Carmel), Madison West (Brian), Sydney Jones (Ryley), Erin Gillis (Spencer), Wesley Crosby and Jeff Crosby (Tayler); and her great grandchildren, Daniel Cowart, Lily Grace Cowart, Walker West and Macie West.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home (2460 GA-21, Rincon, GA 31326). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the ministry of The Samaritan's Purse.
