He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Irvin Brake and Nina Mae Smith Brake; his wife Patsy Thompson Brake; his sons, Jim Brake (Kimberly) of Sparta, Chris Brake (Sarah) of Sparta and Patrick Brake (Michelle) of Sparta; his siblings, Charlie Smith Brake (Twila) of Fairmont, CA and Ruth Dunn of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Hayden Brake of Sparta, Heath Brake of Sparta, Britton Reagin of Sparta and Carson Brake of Sparta; and his pet Walker.
