She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Dickens and Emily Hanna Dickens; and her husband Bobby Kent. She is survived by: her children, Jan Garland (Ronny) of Sparta and Mark Rachels (Jeanne) of Marietta; her grandchildren, Paul Garland (Melissa), Megan Bass (Owen), Zachary Rachels and Jeremy Rachels; her great grandchild Ava Bass; her sister Lynda Askew (Danny) of Gainesville; and her pet Sadie.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Mrs. Kent's memory to Pierce Memorial United Methodist Church, 21 Boland Street, Sparta, Georgia 31087.
