It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Leighton Dickerson Jr. in Sparta, Georgia, born in Milledgeville, Georgia, who passed away on June 2, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Lewis Dickerson and George Leighton Dickerson, Sr.; and his spouse Jamie Travis Dickerson. He is survived by: his stepson Travis Powell; his daughter-in-law Bonnie Powell; his grandchildren, Emma, Elle and Kellyn; his siblings, Cherry Payne and John Dickerson; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Travis Stader (Mike), Don Travis (Jody), Dick Travis (Tiss) and Bill Travis (Lisa). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
